Opportunity is the answer to so many problems in Jamaica, yet in 2022, it is still scarce. I am passionate about creating more opportunities for Jamaican youth from all walks of life, including our young people with disabilities. I believe if we plan strategically, partner with international organizations and private sector firms to invest in education, we can prepare our youth to compete in the global marketplace and amplify the opportunities for future generations.

The lack of opportunities is why Jamaica has experienced a tremendous brain drain in previous years. If we are not ready to incentivize our educated young people to stay, then we will never fully realize our potential as a post-colonial nation. Creative solutions are needed and fast!
